100% Participation
What does 100% required participation mean?
Each troop or group must participate in both council-sponsored product sales (Fall Product and Girl Scout Cookie Sale) by setting goals and training and encouraging each member to participate to her fullest ability. This does not mean that 100% of girls within a troop/group MUST participate. Of course we would like them to, but individual participation is not mandatory. We cannot penalize an entire troop/group if one of its members is unable to sell for some reason. However, entire troops/groups who do not participate in both product sales will not be granted permission to engage in any other money-earning activities for the year like bake sales, car washes, etc... .
Individually registered girls (Studio 2B, Juliette's) are encouraged to participate in both the Fall Product and Girl Scout Cookie Sales. They will earn incentives just like everyone else. The only difference is they do not earn a troop profit since they are not part of a troop. That money goes into an account at council for programs put on for individually registered girls (Studio 2B, Juliette's).
