TRIP & TRAVEL
Taking trips is exciting for girls. Opportunities to travel with girls abound in Girl Scouting...whether exploring the neighborhood, going on an overnight in a museum, participating in a community service project, going to camp as a group, preparing a girl for her first STUDIO 2B destinations, or flying to a world center.
Girl Scout trips can happen when:
- Girls express interest in specific activities or places.
- Specific awards spark an interest in exploration and learning.
- The troop/group is brainstorming and setting goals for the year, including determining how many cookies to sell.
- A service unit or council-wide event appeals to the girls.
- A teen Girl Scout visits your troop to tell about a destination that she participated in.
- Someone's relative works in a really interesting place that gives tours.
- A troop/group gets invited to do a service project in the community.
- Girls just want to have fun!
