BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Girl Scout volunteers have fun! They also gain valuable experiences.
As a volunteer, you will:
- Make a difference in the lives of girls and young women.
- Invest in your community.
- Make new friends.
- Gain a sense of belonging.
- Learn new skills.
- Experience personal and professional growth.
To support our volunteers, Girl Scouts of Erie Shores offers a comprehensive continuing education program in leadership development, Girl Scout program skills, and administrative and management skills. Many of these trainings are provided at no cost. Classes are offered at several sites around the five county service area, as well as at the Council Service Center. Volunteer Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age (some volunteer positions require minimum 21 years of age)
- Be a current member of Girl Scouts of the U.S.A.
- Complete the Volunteer Application and provide 3 references
- Complete the Volunteer Agreement and agree to background checks
- Be flexible, have a sense of humor, and be a positive role model for tomorrow's leaders!
*Girl Scouts of the USA Membership Dues are $10/year. These dues go to the national organization to pay for accident insurance covering participation in Girl Scout activities, program research and resources, training, and services to Girl Scout councils.
