Council Trainer

Volunteers facilitate the majority of trainings offered by Girl Scouts of Erie Shores. They are selected for their knowledge and skill in a chosen field, attend a Train the Trainer course, and are educated in training methods, skills and techniques. This special group of volunteers donates many hours to ensure that Girl Scouts of Erie Shores' volunteers have the tools to insure an enjoyable Girl Scout experience.

Time commitment: Volunteer trainers agree to train at least 3 courses throughout the year, and attend yearly GSES Trainer update meetings, as well as courses designed specifically for their areas of expertise.

Silver & Gold Award Committee

Members of this committee meet once monthly to review Silver & Gold Awards submitted for approval. Members may also agree to advise a girl through the Silver or Gold Award process. No experience necessary-we'll train you!

Time commitment: Two-hour monthly meetings; advisors meet with girls at mutually convenient times
